Orcutt Union School District superintendent, Dr. Deborah Blow has announced her retirement.
After 40 years as an educator, the Superintendent of Orcutt Union School District, Dr. Deborah Blow has announced her decision to retire at the end of the school year. Dr. Blow alerted district staff last month about her plans. “This decision for me is bitter sweet, as I still love the work, and particularly the students, staff, and families of the Orcutt Union School District,” she said. “However, I need to put my family first. My husband and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in June, and due to our careers, we have spent much of that time working in separates states. I look forward to a slower pace and spending more time with him.

Orcutt Academy Enrollment Post-Lottery Update for 2020-2021.
The Orcutt Academy is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Prospective parents/guardians are asked to submit enrollment applications using the online form accessible here. One enrollment application must be submitted for each student. Also, parents/guardians who claim residency in the Orcutt Union School District will be asked to submit proof of residency. Please read carefully the enrollment application for details on all enrollment, lottery, and admissions procedures.

Openings Available in Orcutt Academy Blended Program
The Orcutt Academy Blended Program has open seats available to students in grades K-8. Based in Casmalia, the program offers a blend of three days of classroom instruction (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two days of home study (Monday and Friday). Bus transportation is available to Casmalia from the Santa Maria/Orcutt area.
