California State Standards

Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level.

California revised the California State Standards to align with the National Common Core Standards. The California Common Core State Standards are to be fully implemented in the 2014/2015 school year. Orcutt Union School District transitioned to the new standards.
