Frank Mejia

Frank Mejia is a lifelong Santa Maria (Orcutt) resident with two daughters attending Orcutt district schools.  He and his wife Laura have enjoyed being involved with their children at school over the years from serving in a variety of ways with the PTA, Boosters Club or helping out in the classroom to outside of school activities with local youth sports, church activities and in Girl Scouts Central Coast.  He and his family believe in working to make our community stronger by being involved and by volunteering in a variety of community events.  Through his career in social work and role as a Division Chief at the County Department of Social Services for nearly 30 years he has gained a solid understanding of the needs of our community and with families with children in particular.  Frank has served on a number of local Boards of Directors, including The Santa Barbara County Management Association, Vice President of the Foxenwood Tennis & Swim Club and currently serving on the Board of Directors of Leadership Santa Maria Valley and The County’s First Five Advisory Board. 

 

Frank’s management experience and knowledge of government accounting and contract procurement in addition to his perspective as a district parent will serve our district well in his role on the Measure G Citizen’s Oversight Committee.
